The W40X Electric Power, New Holland’s innovative compact wheel loader, has won the renowned GOOD DESIGN® award, one of the most prestigious design honors in the world. This award highlights the perfect balance between stylish design and practical engineering, acknowledging the machine’s cutting-edge features.

Tailored for operations in indoor and urban environments, the W40X Electric Power stands out with its eco-friendly design. Its compact size, measuring just 1,650mm in width, makes it ideal for tight spaces. The electric powertrain is not only environmentally friendly but also ensures zero emissions and low noise levels, thanks to its all-electric drive system powered by a 23kWh battery. The machine offers 39kW rated power, with a work time ranging from 3 to 6 hours, depending on the task.

To celebrate its launch at Agritechnica 2023, the W40X Electric Power was designed in a special edition, exclusively by CNH’s Industrial Design team. Featuring the signature ‘Clean Blue’ color associated with all New Holland electric products, it also includes the iconic New Holland leaf symbol on the rear hood. A striking geometric triangular motif, inspired by the loader bucket shape, runs the length of the machine, from the engine hood to the driver’s door glass and the loader boom, giving the machine a cohesive and modern look.

With a total operating weight of 3.9 tons and a bucket payload of 1.0 ton with a standard 0.5m3 bucket, the W40X Electric Power is both powerful and efficient. An innovative attachment linkage designed specifically for electric vehicles offers the same durability as traditional designs, but with reduced weight and a 5% reduction in required working energy. The machine also boasts automated functions that make it easier for operators to control the boom and bucket with features like return-to-dig, return-to-travel, and return-to-height. Electro-proportional controls can be customized for different job types, and load-sensing hydraulics ensure safety and efficiency during operation.
